In July, we’re kicking off our new monthly conversation series, Practice & Purpose! This series is designed for home visiting professionals to share experiences, explore best practices, and grow together in community. The Institute for the Advancement of Family Support Professionals (InstituteFSP) will facilitate casual, engaging discussions and peer connections. Participants will gain practical insights and renewed inspiration to support children and families. There will be 2 sessions each month: One session is designed for home visitors to connect and share, the second session is only for supervisors. (These sessions will NOT be recorded.)
July’s Topic: When Practice & Policy CollideWe will share and discuss common ethical issues that may pop up during home visits. We will focus on situations where the everyday practice of home visiting contradicts policies (for example: accepting food from a family you are visiting). Let's discuss how you handle these situations and how policies and practices collide. Join us!
