Looking for a casual space to share ideas and learn from peers? Our Connect + Discuss sessions are 50-minute, lightly facilitated conversations on topics that matter in your day-to-day work. Open to home visitors, supervisors, family support professionals and interested partners.  

Connect with your peers from across the country. JOIN US each month for Connect + Discuss sessions. Sessions are available at no cost, but pre-registration will be required and capacity will be limited to the first 100 registrants. Each Connect + Discuss will be topic-focused.

Field Safety in the Summer Months

As summer unfolds, many home visitors encounter heightened safety concerns, more foot traffic, more community activity, and more unpredictability. Let’s connect and discuss real safety challenges and strategies. From boundary-setting and neighborhood dynamics to travel, heat, and situational awareness, let’s share what helps you stay safe while you show up for families. 

This 50-minute session is a chance to:

• Name and normalize safety concerns in the field

• Share practical tools, boundaries, and preparation strategies

• Learn from peers about program and personal safety practices

*Please note that these are not training sessions. They are a chance to connect and share with your peers. We’ll bring a few guiding questions to spark discussion and let the conversation unfold naturally. While the target audience is home visitors and supervisors, anyone supporting families is welcome to join.
