Institute on the Road: Fall 2026

Our travel schedule is keeping us busy this fall, and we’re looking forward to seeing many of you along the way!

August – We had a ball with our colleagues in Michigan talking about career advancement for home visitors at their state conference. It was especially wonderful to hear directly from parents participating in home visiting.

In Georgia, we focused on burnout prevention and boundaries. I can’t tell you how much I value hearing directly from home visitors and supervisors. You keep me grounded in the realities of home visiting.

I heard one message very clearly: Home visitors are not interested in reducing the number of families they serve. They are interested in reducing the amount of documentation required and finding ways to use technology to work smarter—not harder.

That kind of feedback is exactly why getting out into the field matters.

September – We’ll be at the National Home Visiting Summit, where Janet will be presenting with our friends from James Bell Associates about AI and home visiting. Be sure to stop by our exhibit booth to talk with us about career advancement for home visitors. We’d love to hear your ideas!

We’ll also be launching nominations for 2027 National Home Visitor of the Year. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by! Start thinking about the wonderful home visitor in your area who deserves to be recognized.

October – Next stop: Parents as Teachers International Conference in Portland, Oregon. We’ll be presenting a session on career advancement and will have an exhibit booth throughout the conference. We hope to see you there!

November – We’ll wrap up our fall travels by joining our friends in Delaware for their state conference, where we’ll be delivering the keynote address.

These events will close out our availability for calendar year 2026. If you’re even thinking about inviting the Institute staff to your conference in 2027, it’s not too early to reach out! Our calendars fill up quickly, and we’d love to find a way to be part of your event.

We hope to see you somewhere along the way!
