What’s New @ the Institute!

Supervisor Certification Exam

Yes, you read that correctly! We’re developing a Supervisor Certification Exam based on the Supervisor Core Competency Framework. Like the family support certification, every question will be aligned to specific competency components to ensure the exam reflects the real-world knowledge and skills supervisors use every day. Development is already underway, and we’ll begin sharing more details in early 2027.

Practice & Purpose

Learning doesn’t just happen in trainings—it happens when professionals come together to share ideas, challenges, and solutions. That’s why we’re launching Practice and Purpose, a monthly peer-learning series held on Zoom. Each month we’ll offer one session for home visitors and one for supervisors, providing a space to discuss real-world practice issues, exchange ideas, and learn from one another.

Our first session in July is “When Policy & Practice Collide.”

Most of us have experienced the frustration of implementing a policy that doesn’t seem to support what’s best for families. So what do you do? How do you navigate situations where organizational policy and effective practice seem to be at odds?

Join us for an honest conversation as we explore practical strategies, share experiences, and learn from colleagues across the country. Registration is now open through the Institute’s Live Events calendar. We hope you’l join the conversation!
